Technology

MagicZero™
MagicZero works by continuously monitoring signals from the power meter during movement. When the signals meet specific criteria for a period of time, an average value is recorded. By accumulating this data, a new Zero-offset is eventually recorded, saving time on installation, replacement, and calibration. MagicZero allows automatic management of the power meter's Zero-offset without any specific action from the user. Typically, MagicZero measurements occur when the bike is stationary, stopped, or pedaling slowly. But, as noted above, the criteria are designed to reject values inconsistent with the average recordings. The MagicZero algorithm is designed to run continuously and reach a stable convergence on the correct Zero-offset. If an incorrect Zero-offset is applied at any time, the algorithm is designed to self-correct without user intervention.

Note: the XX1 Boost power meter spider must be paired with an XX1 Eagle™ DUB 8-bolt crankset and a 104 BCD X-Sync 2™ chainring (not included).
