GRX RD-RX810 is the Shimano derailleur dedicated to gravel, touring, and cyclocross riding

The Japanese company never ceases to amaze us with its innovations. This time it focused on developing and launching a completely different groupset: the GRX groupset, designed for those who love versatility and don’t stop in front of obstacles.
Thanks to the growing popularity of gravel, cyclocross, and touring disciplines, Shimano was able to invest its knowledge and enthusiasm into something entirely new. Keeping the derailleur extremely precise and the chain in place on any terrain was a kind of challenge, but it was won thanks to a series of modifications coming from both MTB and Road models. Thus, the built-in stabilizer (clutch) reliably prevents the chain from hitting the derailleur and the frame, keeping it in position. When riding on paved surfaces, where chain control is not vital, the clutch can be deactivated simply by moving the dedicated lever. The derailleur has its own adjustment screw, allowing cable tension to be set, and 13-tooth pulleys with sealed and highly efficient bearings. In the 2x11 configuration, it will be an excellent choice for touring on rough terrain.
