The new standard, not only ergonomic but also customizable, continues in the design of the Chorus levers. Apart from the brake lever made of aluminum with a finish that highlights it, the feel on the hand given by the Ergopower Chorus is almost identical to that of the Super Record and Record controls. Ergonomic features such as the new cover design, the brake lever design, and the larger shift levers combine to make the Ergopower control shape uniquely versatile. This model offers different positions to better fit various hand sizes.
Inside the controls is a concentration of technology and experience starting with the “one lever-one action” function that assigns each lever a single function to avoid shifting errors during fatigue or intense moments, followed by the multiple shift option which, thanks to the Ultra-Shift mechanism, allows shifting up to 3 sprockets at once uphill and up to 5 downhill. This function helps maintain pedaling rhythm even during sudden changes in gradient or pace with a speed and smoothness of action that is both useful and surprising. Chorus controls offer the same shifting performance found in other 12-speed groups thanks to the same cable and housing configuration.
Specifications:
Ultra-Shift™ system
The Campagnolo® Ultra-Shift control is recognized by all as the fastest and most precise.
Thanks to the patented system, it is possible to move the chain simultaneously across three sprockets uphill and up to five downhill.
The lever design also allows for a lighter shift control always characterized by the typical Campagnolo® "click".
Campagnolo brake caliper: powerful, modulable, and reliable
Campagnolo flat-mount brake calipers ensure powerful and modulable braking in every situation thanks to pistons with a diameter of 22 millimeters. The pad return guaranteed by the magnetic system ensures no friction when releasing the brake lever. A special metal shim placed between the pad and the caliper piston dampens vibrations during braking.
The different Campagnolo brake calipers are designed to be mounted in combination with the disc chosen by the user, always ensuring high-level performance: it is possible to choose the rear brake caliper with a 160 or 140 mm diameter disc as well as use a specific 160 mm front caliper. Particular attention has also been given to facilitating maintenance and assembly operations: the pads have a wear indicator and their replacement is made easier by the absence of physical return springs. Work has also been done on the disc entry into the caliper to facilitate and speed up wheel changes.
Flat Mount
Campagnolo disc brake calipers are suitable for all Flat Mount forks and frames. Thanks to this standard, you can mount without using adapters. Mounting the caliper directly on the fork significantly increases the rigidity of the complete system, offering the ideal configuration for racing.
Brake pads
By removing the pads, you can immediately tell if replacement is necessary. Replacement is required when the pad material thickness reaches the 1.5 mm wear indicator.
