WT - Wide Trail

The WT construction optimizes the tire tread and its volume by adapting it to more modern rims. Traditional tires are designed starting from narrower rims and risk creating an overly squared profile, compromising performance. WT tires are optimized for 35 mm wide rims and work properly with both 30 and 35 mm rims.

TR - Tubeless Ready

Maxxis Tubeless Mountain Bike tires certified UST feature the latest technology for lighter Tubeless tires. This technology offers better puncture resistance, retains air better, and strengthens the tire at a lower weight than previous Tubeless designs. By adding a thin layer of fabric coated with a special rubber compound, a lighter, stronger, and more airtight casing was achieved.

Exo+ Protection

A new EXO+ construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer extends from bead to bead with an EXO layer along the sidewalls. Together, these two materials create EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%, sidewall strength by 51%, and pinch flat resistance by 28%.

3C MaxxTerra

An intermediate compound configuration is used in selected mountain tires. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers greater traction compared to 3C Maxx Speed, it is also more wear-resistant and has lower rolling resistance than MaxxGrip.
