Cece Winans was born in 1962, the seventh child of the famous Winans gospel family. While her older brothers' group, The Winans, was making a splash, she and her sister CeCe made their official debut as a duo in 1987 with "BeBe & CeCe Winans," which was instantly nominated for a Grammy Award. In 1991, "Different Lifestyles," featuring then-popular rapper MC Hammer, was another big hit. Two more albums followed, but the duo disbanded.In 2009, BeBe & C.C. Winans won two Grammy Awards for "Still," their first album in 15 years, and in 2010, BeBe & C.C. Winans released their first solo album, "BeBe Winans," in 1997, followed by "Love & Freedom" in 2000. He has also established his own label, composed music for films, and sang at the inauguration of President Obama, making him one of the nation's most popular singers.
