Quinta do Noval is situated in the Douro valley in the north of Portugal. Known throughout the world for its Port wines, Quinta do Noval produces great wines that bear the stamp of their origin since the early 18th century.
The vineyard of 145 hectares which is entirely classified letter A, is planted with the noblest grape varieties of the Douro: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Sousão.
Quinta do Noval is the only historic Port Shipper to use the name of its vineyard and to produce a Vintage Port from one single vineyard, when declared.

Regional information: The vineyards that produce the grapes for port wine cling to the steep hillsides in the winding valleys of the Douro river in Northern Portugal.
Tasting notes: From Quinta do Noval comes this finely poised tawny port full of caramelised orange and figgy fruit flavours. The 10 years of ageing have mellowed the wine into an elegant beauty that is rich but not cloying.

Serving suggestions: It is excellent served alongside dark chocolate for a real indulgence, and stunning with treacle tart and walnuts. It can be served slightly chilled as an aperitif, or as a digestive at the end of a meal.
Vinification details: The grapes were trodden by foot and fermented in the traditional lagares of the Quinta, to obtain the best extraction. Noval Tawny 10 years is a blend of old Ports from different vintages, matured in oak casks and with an average age of 10 years.
