Mononuclear cells (MNCs) have single round nucleus, such as lymphocytes, monocytes, and dendritic cells. These cells are critical components of the immune system which are involved in both humoral and cell-mediated immunity. Human cord blood mononuclear cells are often used in research and clinical applications such as in microbiology, virology, oncology, vaccine development, transplant and regenerative biology, and toxicology.
Our Human Cord Blood MNCs (CB MNCs or CBMCs) are isolated from human cord (CB) blood by density gradient centrifugation. These cord blood MNCs can be further processed to isolate a variety of subpopulations. All cord blood is collected aseptically in Citric Phosphate with Dextrose Buffer (CPD) at the time of delivery from healthy pregnant women under fully IRB approved informed consent.
