The Porta Pipe e Tabacco is a lidded ceramic container originally designed by Aldo Londi in 1964. Wheel-thrown in refractory red clay, it features a cylindrical form with small side handles designed to hold a pipe. The surface is hand-carved with horizontal incisions and finished in a vivid orange glaze over a dark brown base. This combination of sculptural detail and bold colour is characteristic of Londi’s mid-century work, where functional objects were elevated through expressive design.

Reissued in 2008 as part of the Riedizioni collection, this edition is limited to 199 pieces. Each container is handmade in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy, and marked with its original inventory number and the historic “Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli” name at the base.
