100 Point Robert Parker:  "Deep purple-black, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin State Lane Vineyard rockets out of the glass with intense notes of blackcurrant cordial, plum preserves and blueberry pie, plus hints of Chinese five spice, dusty soil, menthol, tar and black truffles, with a waft of roses. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is an exercise in poise, delivering layer upon layer of vibrant black and blue fruits with a rock-solid backbone of super ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and just plain delicious. Pure, seemingly effortless, seamless perfection. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 80% new French oak, the alcohol is a relatively modest 14.3%. 300 cases were made...

. The Kapcsándy Family Winery, with their State Lane Vineyard on the Yountville crossroad, burst on the scene just over ten years ago and now has 20 acres planted, producing just four cuvées. The 2015s saw the earliest harvest ever at the estate, commencing and finishing before the end of September, and producing strikingly rich, intense wines that are open-knit and opulent, with sweet, well-integrated tannin."

100 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin has the potential to match the 2010 as one of the greatest wines ever made at this Yountville property. The tension, energy and overall vibrancy are similar to the 2010, but the 2019 is less bombastic and more finessed. Seamless and beautifully proportioned, the 2019 Grand Vin simply has it all. Inky dark fruit, lavender, graphite, crushed rocks and licorice linger."
