Create your own playful ceramic Chia Pet, and grow your own greens at home.

Students will practice how to sculpt a stylized chia pet. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this class introduces foundational hand building techniques through a fun, approachable project. You’ll learn how to shape and hollow forms, refine details, and consider how your design interacts with water, chia seeds and growth.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, but recommended for students 15+.

This Workshop will be in-person hosted at Saltstone Ceramics in the Wallingford Neighborhood of Seattle. No prior clay experience needed as this workshop will cater to all skill levels. The materials will be provided on-site. All firing services are included in cost, and the studio will glaze your pieces in a clear for you.
