Talking Heads
Description:
Three titles of early live broadcast recordings of Talking Heads, one of the most important bands of New Wave, whose influence and significance is now being questioned once again, are released together! This is the 10th show of the tour for their second album, "More Songs About Buildings and Food," which had just come out in July of that year and began on August 7, 1978, at the old Park West Theater in Chicago, and was broadcast on station WXRT on August 23, 1978. The tour lasted until the end of December of that year, and along with it, the Al Green cover song "Take Mer To The River," which was cut as a single from the album, began to appear loosely on the charts around the end of that year. This record captures the process of making their presence felt on the scene in this way.
