In the Grand Canyon National Park, you can find a gem of a hike, namely the Rim to Rim Trail. Starting at South Kaibab/ Bright Angel, you walk into the canyon all the way to the mighty Colorado River and up the rim again to finish at North Kaibab. Or the other way around, depending on your preference. While many questions arise as to how long does it take to hike rim to rim, well the answer is not that simple. Some walk the Rim to Rim hike in 1 day, and some take 4 days to immerse themselves in the amazing landscape. While it is not the longest of the Grand Canyon hikes, as it is just under 24 miles/ 38 km, it is certainly one of the more challenging trails. Having said that hiking the Rim to Rim Trail rewards you with beautiful scenery of massive rock formations and the Colorado River.
