Since its formation in 1983, the Belgian dance company ROSAS has been presenting a series of ambitious contemporary dance works that organically integrate music and dance, attracting worldwide attention. Originally an ensemble of four female dancers, in recent years male dancers have been added to the ensemble to further develop this fascinating project. The latest work of "Rosas" included in this video is "Six Brandenburg Concertos" with music by Johann Sebastian Bach, which was performed at the Paris Opera (Palais Garnier), the temple of ballet. She has been performing this piece again after a 35-year absence, and is now a member of the "Rosas" since 1980. Bach's diverse instrumentation and polyphonic music is visualized with stylish dance, creating an innovative and sophisticated stage performance. The B'Rock (B'Rock) Orchestra, conducted by Amandine Beyer, a female baroque violinist who is a leading figure in the world of French ancient music, will accompany the dancers. The supple and beautiful Bach will color the dancers' movements gorgeously. Naxos Japan
