The Belgian dance company Rosas, organized by choreographer Anne Teresa de Case-Michael, has attracted international attention since its formation in 1983 with a series of ambitious contemporary dance works that aim for an organic integration of music and dance. The latest work of "Rosas" included in this video is "Six Brandenburg Concertos" with music by Johann Sebastian Bach, which was performed at the Paris Opera (Palais Garnier), the temple of ballet. She has been performing this piece again after a 35-year absence, and is now a member of the "Rosas" since 1980. Bach's diverse instrumentation and polyphonic music is visualized with stylish dance, creating an innovative and sophisticated stage performance.The B'Rock (B'Rock) Orchestra, conducted by Amandine Beyer, a female baroque violinist who is a leading figure in the world of French ancient music, will accompany the dancers.
