Description:
This is the sixth concert by Arminck and the New Japan Philharmonic. Following the previous work, Schmidt's "The Book with Seven Seals," this time it is a large-scale work including singing, "Requiem," the greatest work by Verdi. The original title of this work is "Requiem for the anniversary of Manzoni's death. As the title suggests, Verdi composed this requiem in memory of the Italian literary great. Almink's performance is distinctly different from the approach that emphasizes the grandiose and dramatic aspects of the work, and shows every detail of the huge work in a purely sonorous manner. This is the embodiment of the composer's strong desire that "this Mass should not be sung like an opera. The soloists and choir sing to perfection, and the "Verdi Requiem" is free from conventionality. FONTEC
