95 point new release                                        
New release from Hestan Vineyards Meyer Cabernet and Napa's most sough-after winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown!  One of the best Cabernets of the year. Limited.

Previous Vintage: 95 Points Wine Spectator:  "Strikingly complex and detailed, with supple, harmonious blackberry, currant, anise, licorice and crushed rock flavors. Gains depth while holding focus and persistence. Drink now through 2032."

This vintage was noted by a very warm growing season across the board and the finished wine is a very dark-fruited and structured Cabernet Sauvignon. In the glass the Meyer 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a nearly opaque purple-ruby hue. Aromas suggest tart red fruit, clove, vanilla husk and an exotic spice component. Palate notes are decidedly bramble-focused, with lingering aromatic wood and purple flowers. The tannins are firm but even and provide a nice black tea component, both in mouth feel and flavor. The finish is very light and clean, thanks to a refreshing acid framework. This wine will show best after a few hours in the decanter or 3-5 years in the cellar.
