At Bethany they use fully ripe Shiraz and Grenache grapes, pressed and allowed to ferment, halfway through the fermentation they add premium quality Australian brandy, then age the wine in large old oak barrels for up to 9 years. The bouquet displays intense raisin and nutty characters and on taste show similar flavours. The lingering finish is rich, quite sweet and full of flavour with a lovely ‘Port like’ quality.
