Mandelic Acid derived from bitter almonds, and induces less redness, flaking and skin irritation than many other peel types.  Mandelic Acid is a better choice for people with lots of pigment, and also provides excellent results when used in the treatment of acne.  It can improve inflammatory, pustular, comedonal, and papular acne; has also been shown to be effective in individuals resistant to antibiotics.  Mandelic has a larger molecular structure than glycolic acid making it less harsh and better tolerated on the skin.  pH 2.0
