Okay so the GAF Auto Chinon 55-300mm f4.5 is a big lens: it weighs 2kg, and it’s nearly a foot long. It has its own tripod mount! The filter thread is 86 doggone mm! Anyway, it’s big. Image quality is not too bad, actually. If you don’t recognize the GAF branding, all you need to know is that they used to be Ansco, and they’re still around today, except now they make roofing shingles. Focus and zoom action are good, optics are generally clean, with some dust. Built by Chinon, this lens will mount to any camera with an M42 mount.
