The Makita 40V Max XGT Brushless Laminate Trimmer provides a cordless solution for a wide variety of woodworking needs. The electronically controlled built brushless motor delivers cutting speeds up to 60% faster than the equivalent 18V LXT model (DRT50), efficiently using energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application.

It has a variable speed control dial to match the speed of the application and constant speed control engineered to maintain speed under load. Convenience features include the soft start feature for smoother start-ups and better accuracy, dual L.E.D lights to illuminate the workspace, and an on/off button with a separate lock button. The Trimmer has a quick-release cam lock system for convenient depth adjustments and easy base removal/installation when installing other bases.
