The story of the Tapisserie de l'Apocalypse in Angers, France, is one of artistic mastery, historical significance, and cultural heritage. Commissioned by Louis I, Duke of Anjou, in the 14th century, this monumental tapestry is one of the most remarkable surviving examples of medieval textile art. Created between 1377 and 1382, the tapestry depicts scenes from the Book of Revelation, the final book of the New Testament, and is based on illustrations by Jean Bondol, a renowned artist of the time.
