The Police
Description:
The Police, a super-rock trio formed by three musicians from different musical careers, later went on to dominate the world. In the eight years they were active, the Police released five best-selling albums, including the 1983 album "Synchronicity," which was No. 1 on the U.S. album charts for 17 consecutive weeks. The Police never released any live albums during their active period, but now they have released three live albums from different periods of their career. With the mega-hit "Synchronicity" album, the Police became one of the top bands in the rock music scene, starting their "Synchronicity Tour" in July 1983, selling out every stadium-level concert venue in Europe and North America. The tour sold out all the stadium-level concert venues in Europe and North America. The tour included a concert in Montreal, Canada on August 2 and 3 of the same year, which was recorded for TV/radio broadcast and cell video. This release is based on the soundtracks used for the TV/radio broadcasts. The live performance was sharpened and more intense, and the band's dignity as a top band was evident. The band went on hiatus after this tour, so this live album is valuable as it captures the Police at the peak of their powers. Sting (vo, cho, b, kbds, sax, hmc) Andy Summers (g, cho, kbds) Stewart Copeland (ds, perc, cho, kbds, g)
