The Fried Egg lounge chair is an asymmetrical lounge chair designed by Danish architect Hans Olsen in the 1950s, sitting within a lineage of character-led seating that doesn’t rely on formal symmetry. In sheepskin, the form softens further, the outline reading more relaxed in a room, almost casual in the way it settles into a space.
Upholstered in naturally curled sheepskin, it’s offered in three distinct finishes, from a restrained grey through to lighter tones and a hand-stitched patchwork version where offcuts are brought together, making each piece slightly different. The structure is produced in teak, a wood closely associated with mid-century Danish work, with proportions that keep the seat open and easy without feeling oversized or heavy.
In everyday use it works best as a single, quiet statement seat, with a flat armrest that naturally invites you to shift position or rest more freely. It suits spaces where comfort leads but design still matters in equal measure.
