Additional Details: This lithograph was printed as the cover of Derrière le Miroir (DLM) No. 182, and is considered an original work of art. Marc Chagall personally created the image, which was transferred to a lithographic plate and printed by Charles Sorlier at Mourlot Studios. Despite being part of a publication, it maintains its status as an original lithograph, as Chagall was directly involved in the creation of the artwork and its production process. It features Chagall’s depiction of a makeshift house reminiscent of the Jewish sukkah, a temporary structure built for the festival of Sukkot, a significant Jewish holiday.
