It has been five years since their highly acclaimed two-disc opus, Legends of the Shires. About the new album, keyboardist Richard West said, "This album is like a big brother to the last one. It's darker and more melodic," he says. The new album also features two big songs that are over 10 minutes long, and is bursting with the progressive metal that is typical of Threshold. The heavier parts are heavier, and the more melodic parts are more melodic, further refining their signature style. This is a very artistic, yet easy to listen to album, which can be recommended not only for progressive metal enthusiasts, but also for beginners.
