This is our cornerstone class and the most popular training we offer. Designed for individuals who want to feel confident and prepared in wilderness settings, Wilderness Safety and Survival Level 1 equips you with the skills and knowledge to enjoy the outdoors safely and repeatedly.

• Wilderness First Aid: Basics of handling injuries and emergencies in the wild.
• Land Navigation: Using maps and compasses to find your way.
• Shelter Building: Techniques for creating effective shelters.
• Knot Tying: Essential knots for survival and camping needs.
• Fire Building: Methods for starting and maintaining fire in various conditions.
• Water Purification: Ensuring clean, safe drinking water.
• Edible and Medicinal Plants: Identifying plants for nutrition and health.
• Hunting and Trapping: Building traps, gigs, and other survival tools.

• Base Camp Setup: The class includes a group base camp within walking distance of vehicle parking, allowing easy access to your gear.
• Flexibility for Learning: Bring any camping gear you’re comfortable with, or challenge yourself by relying solely on survival-related items for an immersive experience.
