The TS050 HYBRID, developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, is a sports prototype car featuring a carbon fiber monocoque and a closed cockpit body. Its hybrid powertrain consists of a midship 2.4-liter twin-turbo direct injection V6 engine, a high-powered lithium-ion battery, and Motor Generator Units (MGUs) located on the front and rear axles. In 2018, this car showcased outstanding performance and reliability, achieving remarkable results. Now, the TS050 HYBRID, which has etched a new chapter in Japanese motorsports history, is an exciting new addition to Tamiya's extensive 1/24 Sports Car Series. This plastic model assembly kit is designed in a 1/24 scale, with dimensions of 194mm in length, 80mm in width, and 58mm in height. The kit accurately reproduces the sleek and refined form of the car, complete with various aerodynamic parts. To facilitate painting, the center cowl is split into separate parts that can be painted in different colors. Additionally, decals are included to add red livery sections to the model, along with carbon fiber pattern decals for added detail. The comprehensive decal sheet allows for the creation of either the No.7 or No.8 car. The kit also provides masking stickers to assist with the paint job.
