The Gemstone Vineyard Chardonnay is 100% Dijon clone. The grapes were harvested early in the season giving the wine bright acidity, but they are unmistakably fruit-forward and true to their Yountville terroir. Only 200 cases produced.
The Gemstone 2020 Chardonnay is crisp with aromas of tropical citrus notes, honeysuckle and brioche, followed by a rich and creamy texture. The wine has a smooth and rich mouthfeel as a result of its extended contact with oak, but is balanced by minerality, fresh citrus and a touch of tropical fruit on the palate.
