The Japanese metal scene was thriving in the early 1980s, with BOW WOW (VOW WOW) appearing at the Reading festival, LOUDNESS beginning to accelerate their activities overseas, and EARTHSHAKER and 44 MAGNUM from the Kansai region. Following the success of the previous album "HIDEAWAY," "PINK NOISE" was released in 1986, the following year, and is now available in a paper jacket. The complete album includes two more songs that were not included on the album! This is the last solo album by "Stephanie," a female rocker who later became a vocalist of SHOW-YA. The sharp hard rock sound of top-notch players such as Kazuo Shiina (g), Takayuki Hijikata (g), Kenji Kitajima (g), and Jun Aoyama (dr) is maintained, while Stephanie's vocals are much more expressive than on her previous albums.Both "MILES AWAY" and "HE WON'T ROCK" by Lea Hart (FASTWAY), who was also in Ann Lewis' backing band, cover songs such as Alice Cooper's "SCHOOL'S OUT" and HEDPINS' "TURN IT LOUD," and a catchy number "BURNIN' UP THE NIGHT" by Tsugitoshi Goto, a tie-in song for the TV drama "Half Moon.
