In 2016, Tasmania was subject of wide ranging and destructive bushfires across the South West of the state. The bushfires resulted in an aborted trek across the Western Arthur Range as a result of road closures. As a contingency plan, we pivoted and trekked the southern section of the Overland Track from Lake Sinclair to the Labyrinth and Du Cane Range. Whilst the visibility was poor due to a significant amount of smoke in the atmosphere, it certainly gave a brooding mood this this image of Mount Geryon and the Acropolis from Lake Elysia.
