The third collection of Akira Nishimura's string quartets by the virtuoso Arditti SQFollowing the CD album "Avian [Bird]", which won the Grand Prize in the Record Division of the Japan Arts Festival, and "Nurcinha [Human Lion]", which mainly contains his String Quartet No. 4, this is the third collection of string quartets by the Arditti String Quartet. Nishimura composed the title piece "Sheesha [Holy Serpent]" (String Quartet No. 5), which was composed to celebrate the 60th birthday of world-renowned violinist Ervin Arditti and premiered at Wigmore Hall in London, to "Suzaku" (No. 6), a recent work dedicated to the Arditti Quartet in 2017, a total of three works. This is a must-hear recording made on the occasion of the quartet's visit to Japan. <The Arditti String Quartet was founded in 1974 by Irvin Arditti. The quartet has earned an international reputation for its outstanding interpretations of contemporary music and early 20th century works, and has performed 50 world premieres in one year. Since 1982, he has given master classes for performers and composers at the International Summer School for Contemporary Music in Darmstadt. More than 200 CDs have already been released.In 1991, "Gramavision" was nominated for a Grammy Award in New York City.
