Inspired by the world renowned decorative arts where it takes its name, this Art Nouveau Tapestry has been compiled using a fine jacquard weave with an attractive design. The design itself highlights the Japanese influence of the Art Nouveau period which became a hugely important art style thanks to the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. These decorative art forms were especially popular during the Belle Époque period which often used the natural curves of plants and botanicals as a form of inspiration. Belle Époque time, which ended with the start of WW1 in 1914.
