Northwave Extreme GT 4 Cycling Shoes
The Extreme GT 4 from Northwave has a Morph Carbon 12 AAS sole with full carbon insert in the pedal area and a stiffness index of 12.0. The exclusive Anatomical Arch Support® in TPU allows the shoe to adapt perfectly to the arch of the foot, making it the ideal sole for any foot. The double SLW3 twist closure is the only closure system with gradual loosening that allows a precise fit adjustment of the pressure. Fitted in two crucial areas, it guarantees comfort and performance. The Performance Regular footbed provides more support from the bottom. The Extreme GT 4 is NW Speedplay/Wahoo adapter compatible. The perforated upper ensures optimal ventilation and via the mesh insert, excess heat gets out on hot days.
NW Speedplay adapter compatible for the lowest stack height between foot and pedal
Made with Xframe® patented construction and ultralight next generation materials that are only 0.5 mm thick, the upper transfers every watt of power and provides the snuggest, even fit with no pressure points
Closure System: SLW2 dial, the only one with step-by-step and full release in a single button
Locking system: SLW3 micrometric
Integrated heel system containing directional fibre prevents any slipping
Performance Regular footbed provides greater support
Perforated cover with mesh inserts for constant breathability
ARS exoskeleton in the canopy that wraps around the feet with exceptional fit for efficient power transmission
Regular insole for increased arch support

Features:
S.L.W.3 Closing System: The new SLW3 developed by X-Dial is totally unique and offers an ultra-fast micrometric closure. This compact mechanism is very light and intuitive, just turn the dial for a quick precise closing. The side button gradually releases the lock so you can enjoy even micrometric control when driving.
ARS (Anatomic Reticular Support): The arch support system uses the lattice structure to wrap the foot evenly from the sole to the instep. With its special design, the ARS technology, together with the X-Dial SLW3 dual locking system, creates a modular cage that keeps the foot in the correct position on all surfaces, regardless of whether you're on or off the road. Prevents pressure build-up on the plantar fascia, a cause of inflammation and pain. The increased stiffness resulting from the combination of ARS technology and carbon fibre sole sends even more power to the pedal so you feel in harmony with the ground beneath your feet. Improved stability gives you a more circular pedal stroke and ensures even pedal power; the pressure distribution for the closure is now spread over two zones (toe and instep area), meaning it can be precisely differentiated to suit the shape of your foot. This allows effortless transfer of energy to the ground, even after many hours in the saddle.
Morph Carbon 12: Direct power to the pedals and arch support for any foot shape. The full carbon insert in the pedal area offers excellent pedal response without compromising the low weight design and first class ventilation. The sole of the Morph Carbon 12 AAS features the unique Anatomical Arch Support: a TPU arch support integrated between the sole and the upper that allows the shoe to conform to the arch while providing the best possible support while pedalling. TPU offers a reduced degree of flex, making it an ideal material for long distance driving.
