This 3-hour session is designed for beginners who are eager to learn the fundamentals of smelting, including essential safety practices, understanding metal heat points, and the art of pouring ingots. Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring a safe and informative experience.

What You'll Learn:

Safety First:

• Introduction to smelting safety protocols
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Safe handling of tools and materials

Understanding Metal Heat Points:

• Basics of metal properties and their melting points
• Identifying the right conditions for smelting different metals

Pouring Ingots:

• Preparation of Ingot molds for pouring
• Techniques for pouring molten metal into molds

Who Should Attend:

This workshop is perfect for hobbyists, DIY enthusiasts, artists, and anyone interested in learning the basics of smelting. No prior experience is necessary.

What to Bring:

All materials and safety equipment will be provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Dress Code:

For your safety, please adhere to the following dress code:

• Long-sleeved shirts and long pants made of natural fibers (cotton or wool)
• Closed-toe, sturdy shoes (preferably leather)
• Hair tied back and no loose clothing or accessories
• Safety glasses and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer
