Pat the area dry and clean with an alcohol-soaked cloth (you can also use wet wipes).

For noticeable stains or dirt
Brush the area with soap and rinse under running water (repeat if needed)

For unwanted fluffs due to daily use
Carefully cut the fluffs with a pair of scissors or a nipper. Damp dry or clean the area using alcohol or soap under running water. Once dry, use a hot air heat gun, maintaining a 3-5cm distance at a 45-degree angle, until fully dry.
