If you turned 12 in 1930, you could have gotten this camera for free... but now you have to pay for it. Seems unfair? Well, consider the labour costs of becoming 104 years old. Even at minimum wage, that's more than 15 MILLION DOLLARS! Doesn't seem so bad now, does it? This camera is in fantastic condition, with only the most minimal wear. Best of all, it's completely shootable: it uses standard 120 rollfilm, and it's working today just as well as it was 92 years ago. These aren't super rare, but it's unusual to find one in this condition, because of the sorts of things that happen when you hand out free cameras to a bunch of random 12-year-olds.
Apropos of nothing, I should point out that the $15,852,096 you would have earned if you worked every hour of every day of 104 years without taking any breaks is approximately 1/9462 of OpenAI's current valuation, just in case anyone's interested in how the market values labour 🤷♂️
