12-inch hand-painted wall decor plate painted in the Tirupati style, featuring Lord Ganesha riding on his vaahana, the rat.
This composition is a reproduction of a painting created circa 1816 and housed in the British Museum. It depicts Lord Ganesha on his vaahana, the rat/bandicoot, and holding a laddu (his favourite sweet) in his trunk, with an attendant behind him shading him with a parasol. The snake around his waist signifies his association with his father Lord Shiva.
