The SPAX 5×70mm A2 Stainless Facade Countersunk screw is a German-made timber construction screw built for fixing timber cladding, screens and battens where a discreet head and corrosion resistance matter. The partial-thread design lets the screw draw two timbers tightly together as the unthreaded shank pulls the join closed. SPAX's 4CUT self-drilling point and ground thread serrations cut cleanly into timber and reduce splitting, even near board edges, while the SPAX T-STAR plus T-25 drive resists cam-out and gives full torque transfer. Milling ribs under the countersunk head let it sit flush in timber and stop neatly on metal. Made from A2 304 stainless steel, it stands up to outdoor moisture and weathering for long-life exterior fixing. We recommend pre-drilling in dense hardwoods.
