WSRD continues to push the envelop with the 900ACE Rotax Engine. Piston development has been a key component to all of our engine packages. Through trial and error, even component failures we are extremely excited to release our Ultimate High Compression HD Big Pin Piston Set for methanol burning applications.

This new piston design is available in 10.5:1 and 12.5:1 compression ratios. Now featuring a hard anodizing surface treatment focused on taking this forged piston to the next level in terms of ultimate strength and durability in these 600-700+ HP applications. Along with the hard anodizing, these pistons now also feature a ceramic coated dome, and vertical gas ports. The ceramic coated dome is utilized to protect the piston tops in these demanding engines, which adds an extra layer of extra high temperature ceramic to provide that next level of protection at higher temperatures typically associated to boosted, high horsepower applications. At 600-700+ HP comes high boost pressures, with high boost pressures we utilize the Vertical Gas Ports to apply cylinder pressure to the back side of the top piston ring to increase sealing load to the cylinder wall. 

These pistons will be featured in all of WSRD V5 Short Block and Long Block Engine Packages featuring our billet block. When pairing this piston with our Ultimate Connecting Rods, Balanced Crankshaft, Billet Block and Girdle along with our newly released Copper Head Gasket, for the ultimate head gasket sealing solution, you find yourself that premier engine package ready for boost!
