19th century Italian Madonna textile banner with tassels. The portrait was replicated as an oleograph (or chromolithograph) which is a multi-color print produced through lithography, popular from the 1860s to early 1900s to replicate oil paintings on canvas. The oleograph is mounted onto the fabric backing and framed with original woven braid and fringe at the bottom. It is designed for wall hanging with a brass bar. The piece creates a sacred and historical work of art.
