The Pro Products HP22N Neutra Sul Hydrogen Peroxide Solution is a ready-to-use oxidizing treatment for well water affected by iron, hydrogen sulfide (sulfur odor), and manganese. The 2.5-gallon container is the standard-size option for residential injection systems and households where the 5-gallon HP05N is more volume than needed for the treatment interval.

How It Works

When dosed into the water supply via a chemical metering pump ahead of a retention tank and filter, hydrogen peroxide oxidizes dissolved iron, sulfur compounds, and manganese. These contaminants convert from dissolved ionic form into solid particles that a downstream filter - such as a backwashing iron filter or sediment cartridge - can capture and remove. Once it has done its work, hydrogen peroxide degrades into water and oxygen, leaving absolutely no chemical residue in the treated water.

Why Hydrogen Peroxide Over Chlorine

Chlorine-based injection is effective for iron and sulfur treatment but introduces chlorine residual into the water supply, which requires additional carbon filtration downstream to remove before drinking. Hydrogen peroxide eliminates this secondary treatment requirement and is well-suited for households concerned about chlorine disinfection byproducts.
