Modern Performance has stepped up for the Dart community once again and produced an absolutely beautiful 4-to-1 header with catalytic converter for the 2013+ Dart 2.0L / 2.4L. This header bolts up to your factory or aftermarket exhaust system without any custom modifications. It is made of high quality mild steel, and is MIG welded by hand.

MPx Header & OEM Header Comparison 
Overall, the OEM header is not a bad looking piece, but the primaries could be smoother, and we surely didn't need a catalytic converter that was almost 20 inches long. There was a lot of room for improvement! Also, if you ever need a replacement OEM Mopar Catalytic converter, part number 68081818AC, it costs nearly $3000, so ditch the factory header/cat and get this performance improving header!

Exhaust gas keeps a high velocity when it doesn't encounter sharp bends and restrictive catalytic convertors like the one found on the OEM header.

The MPx Header produces up to 11 HP and 12 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels. Power is gained across the board with its beautifully smooth equal length primaries and its high flow cat. Please view our dyno charts in the photo section to see the gains across the board. There is no loss of power or torque with this header.

Most importantly, you should not get any check engine lights with this header. If you do happen to get a CEL, simply get in touch with us for a quick and easy solution.

This header is offered in two options:

• Raw Steel - Ideal for customers on a budget, or those of you who intend to do your own coating or wrapping.
• Ceramic Coating - Looks great and thermally insulates to keep under hood temps cooler. Also has a thermal barrier on the inside of the primaries. Ceramic coatings are meant to be left open, do not use any wrapping products on ceramic coatings.

This kit includes:

• Upper header
• Lower B pipe with catalytic converter
• o2 sensor extension harness (because the downstream sensor is moved further down)


• Header gasket
• Clamp to secure the B pipe with cat to the upper header outlet.
• Zip tie to secure extension harness
• Bolts to secure exhaust to the B pipe outlet

Notes:

• This header has a factory style outlet flange so it can bolt up to the stock exhaust, or any aftermarket exhaust designed for the Dart. Please read the notes below about connecting to this header to a factory exhaust.>/li>
• This header package replaces all of the factory components from the head all the way back to the exhaust B pipe flange. Nothing else is needed.

NOTE to COMPASS, RENEGADE, 200, Promaster, etc owners with 2.4 engine - the upper section of this header will fit all 2.4 engines, however the bottom, cat section is different from car to car and so this complete header will not work on any car that is not a Dart. you can buy this header and have a local muffler shop or mechanic modify the lower section so that it mates up to your exhaust. We cannot advise you on what is needed for other cars, you will need to do your own research and or talk to your local muffler shop or mechanic. IMPORTANT
This is a high flowing, performance header. Its designed to increase power and torque. The OEM catalytic converter that is on your Dart from the factory is like a huge muffler, and therefore drastically reduces the sound level, and raspiness of the exhaust note. Since 2023, we are using a larger catalytic converter unit on our downpipe so its not as loud as earlier versions of our header. You can install mufflers on your B pipe of your exhaust, or near the exhaust tips near the back muffler if you want to change the tone further. A good local muffler shop or mechanic should be able to help with this if you want to reduce the sound/tone. Or you can use the MPx Dual Exit exhaust with mufflers that we designed from scratch to use with this header.

Important Note 2: If, after installation you ever check a check engine light related to the catalytic converter, please contact us by email to discuss. We can help troubleshoot by email and have many years of working with this header system. Please include the check engine code from your obd2 scanner if you have it.

NOTE3: This header kit is shipped in two boxes, one for the header, gasket, hardware and the other box is for the downpipe with catalytic convertor.
