Description:
The Dark Side Of The Moon," released in 1973, became a worldwide hit, spending 741 weeks on the U.S. album charts and selling over 50 million copies. However, after the release of their 12th album "Final Cut" in 1983, Pink Floyd did not tour and the band went on hiatus. The band goes on hiatus, and each member begins to work on solo albums. Roger Waters released his first solo album "The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking" in 1984, accompanied by Eric Clapton and Mel Collins who participated in the recording. The band performed live on a scale comparable to a Pink Floyd concert. The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking Tour" started in Stockholm, Sweden on June 16th of the same year, and the band performed 19 shows throughout Europe and North America. The final concert of the series, on July 26 in Chicago, Illinois, will be recorded and broadcast as a special program on local rock FM radio station WXRT-FM. The setlist for this concert was 25 songs, including the first and second parts and encores, and is included in this live album. The most notable feature of this concert is the participation of Eric Clapton. He did not play any of his own material, but played songs by Pink Floyd and Roger Waters as the sole lead guitarist, performing perfect guitar solos in a different style from David Gilmour. This live album is an astonishing work for fans of the tour, which ended after only 19 shows due to commercial problems, and contains the most exciting performances of the tour. Imported domestic edition with English booklet and bilingual translation.
