The SPAX 8×220mm WIROX Cylinder Head FullThread screw is a German-made timber construction screw built for connecting wooden elements indoors and out, where a compact cylinder head sits neatly into the timber. The full-thread design grips along the entire shank for maximum hold in both members being joined. SPAX's 4CUT self-drilling point and ground thread serrations cut cleanly into timber and reduce splitting, even near board edges, while the SPAX T-STAR plus T-40 drive resists cam-out and gives full torque transfer. The WIROX surface gives high corrosion protection, is free from chromium-VI, and outperforms conventional zinc plating for indoor and undercover timber work. We recommend pre-drilling in dense hardwoods.
