Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" is said to have been written around 1601 for performance on the twelfth night of the end of the Christmas season. It is a comedy in which Viola falls in love with the Duke of Auxino, the Duke of Auxino falls in love with Olivia, and Olivia falls in love with Viola, who is dressed as a man.
