The Platypod Max is a a "tripod" designed for low-angle shooting and tight situations: it's a slab of high quality aluminum with a 3/8" fitting for a tripod head, plenty of pre-drilled holes for securing the unit to various surfaces, and a number of threaded 1/4" holes for accessory mounting. It includes adjustable levelling legs with a clip-on holder, a two-section gooseneck accessory, Velcro strap, and a silicone mat to improve friction when the Platypod is placed on a hard surface. You'll need to add a head, but the standard 3/8" threading is compatible with most. All in near-new condition. This is one of those things that seems weird and pointless until you suddenly need one.
