Italy and France become best buddies with this delicious dessert, made by layering a filling of vanilla Crème chantilly and rich mascarpone with Italian savoiardi (miniature sponge cakes) that have been soaked in a mix of Italian espresso and French cognac brandy.

The result is velvety vanilla-coffee goodness, with a touch of smoky cognac flavor. The whole cake is dusted with European cocoa powder because there’s no such thing as “good enough.”
