In the late 70's, Alan Holdsworth, who was looking for more freedom in his playing, recorded a session with Ray Warley (sax, flute), Ron Mathewson (bass), and Brian Spring (drums), who were old acquaintances as well as collaborators in the Soft Machine "Bundles" project. Previously unreleased recordings are now available. The album features Holdsworth's unique and superb guitar solos, plenty of unique chord work, and some of the boldest and most authentic violin playing of his career, all in a musical jazz manner centered around Worley's flowing and lyrical melodies. This is a rare and rich source of information on one of the origins of Holdsworth's individuality, away from the guitar-oriented conception!
