The Zeiss Ikon Contessa 533/24 is a compact folding 35mm rangefinder camera with what you might call a unique appearance. It's not for nothing, though: the "cyclops" lens mounted above the primary lens is a rotating rangefinder element, which is a pretty clever way of coupling the lens in a folding camera without resorting to complicated mechanical connections. Don't worry, though, this is a mid-century German camera, so there are plenty of other unnecessary complications! Anyway, the rangefinder works, the 45mm f2.8 Zeiss-Opton lens is clear, and shutter speeds are good. The light meter, on the other hand, is not working. That's life.
