How to Install and Flush the Fluoride Removal Replacement Cartridge

Follow these essential steps to ensure optimal performance and the best-tasting filtered water:

1. Unpack the Cartridge – Carefully remove the new fluoride removal replacement cartridge from its packaging.
2. Prepare for Installation – Connect the cartridge to your water filter system, but do not turn on the water yet.
3. Remove Downstream Cartridges – Take out all filtration cartridges that come after the fluoride removal cartridge (typically positioned in slot 3). Handle ceramic cartridges with extra care, as they are delicate.
4. Install the Fluoride Cartridge – Securely place only the fluoride removal cartridge into the system.
5. Initial Flush – Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. Flush the system for 20 minutes with only the fluoride removal cartridge installed. If desired, the flushed water can be collected for watering plants.
6. Release Pressure – Turn off the water supply and open the faucet to release pressure and drain the system.
7. Reinstall Remaining Cartridges – Carefully place the other filtration cartridges back into their original positions.
8. Secure and Check for Leaks – Tighten all filter housings and turn the water supply back on. Inspect for any leaks.
9. Final Flushing – Flush the entire system for 10 minutes.
10. Post-Installation Flush – After 12 hours, flush the system again for 3 minutes.
