Tasting Note

"Ripe, intense and exquisite. When a great man sang "Hello, is it me you're looking for" I believe he was singing from the perspective of this wine. Coming from 50 year old vines which are hand picked, it starts off with a burst of red and black berries before easing into more floral notes with mineral hints."

Producer

This Domaine was founded in 1947 by Henri Jacqueson and was succeeded by his son Paul in 1972. Paul was later joined by his daughter Marie in 2006 and more recently by his son Pierre. They have 18 hectares of very well sited vines, many of which are very old and pruned hard to reduce the yields. 

The vineyards are only worked manually and with very minimal treatments, being one of the few producers in the village to hand-pick everything.
